CAVSA Releases Mental Health Services Act County Plan Reviews
CAVSA has released its latest County Plan Reviews, providing an in-depth analysis of how well California’s counties incorporate veterans and their families into their Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) planning efforts.
This comprehensive report assesses 13 counties on:
- Veteran Stakeholder Engagement – Are veterans included in the planning process?
- Veteran-Centeredness – Are counties ensuring culturally competent and integrated veteran services?
- Veteran-Relevant Programming – Are there programs specifically for veterans?
Our goal is to amplify veterans’ voices in mental health advocacy and improve county-level mental health services through informed policy and funding decisions.
We invite all stakeholders—state and local agencies, veteran-serving organizations, and community leaders—to review these findings and contribute to the conversation.
